I forgot if the switch has to be active for the camera to be on actually, I don't remember having to flick it on after installation. Just remember to turn off the breaker before installing for safety.

You'll need internet at all times because it doesn't have any option for local storage. If you want an option that has local storage recording, let me know and I can recommend another camera, but with any camera you will need internet to access the recorded files later. Some cameras let you pop out the microSD card, but that means you'll have to get on a ladder to get access to the microSD card slot which will be cumbersome.

Hey there, yep these are solid cameras. They've survived harsh weather a couple of times already. WiFi is good, but it will always depend on how far your router/modem is from the cameras. If you will have any of the cameras really far from the modem or router, you will probably have to buy a WiFi extender to ensure a good connection.

Try this "Please hold the "-" and middle button at the same time for 5 seconds to clear the devices connected." Then try to pair them back to your phone. Let me know how it goes.

This definitely gives the S340 serious competition. It also looks better imo. I guess the S340 is good if you want the dual lens setup, but if that isn't a need, this is a better option for sure. Thanks for watching : )

While I had it up, it stayed above 90% easily. The camera in my backyard was even better because it didn't have to record often, but the one in front of my house had to record tons of movement from passing cars, kids walking home from school, people walking their pets, etc. and the battery level was still good. The battery level will really depend on how much motion is going on in front of your house and how long you set the recordings to be. In Winter months when it's much colder and there's lots of overcast days, the battery level will drop so you'll just have to monitor battery levels to see if you need to plug in a USB cable to top them back up if the sun isn't out much. However, if you like somewhere with lots of sunny weather, you'll never have to worry. I had to take these cameras down to review other cameras, but my other AOSU cameras are all reliable. Zero issues with them, especially in thunderstorms and high winds.

What kind of issues did you have with yours? Mine still works fine and my friend's works fine too.

Hey @stevebusch1205, the cameras require WiFi and The Sync Module 2 to work. If you want to have a camera at your cottage, which doesn't have WiFi, you would have to use a 4G camera that can accept a SIM card, similar to how phone accepts a SIM card. Try this, long press on the Snapchat app icon, and tap the small "i" in the circle at the top right of the mini pop-up screen, then tap on Permissions and disable Location. If you need Location for Snapchat, go to Notifications instead of Permissions and tap on Notification categories and see if there is an option to disable notifications for Location, otherwise you might have to silent all notifications maybe. I don't use Snapchat so I'm not sure how what to change, maybe there is a setting in snapchat?

Hey @ronniechuahm, sure, I can recommend some outdoor cameras. Do you have a preference for wired cameras that have to be plugged in 24/7 or solar-powered cameras that require no wiring?

Eufy recommends placing the cameras away from the HomeBase 3 no more than 30 to 50 feet away. One of my cameras is about 12 feet away, and the other is around 23 feet away and they both pull up live view without timing out, so you'll be fine as long as you place the cameras within that 30 to 50 feet range. Before you permanently mount the cameras, I'd recommended pulling up the camera's live view in the Eufy App and checking how responsive it is to pulling up live view. I usually do this to ensure I have a good connection before drilling.

Nope, but this is probably your best chance of limiting or filtering out that noise, especially if you're able to close the door to your room and it's just ambient noise from the kids that it has to deal with.

It will be compatible with any phone via Bluetooth, but there is no dedicated app to install on your phone. I have it paired with my Samsung S24 Ultra, which is running Android like your Pixel and I can still use it to record and transcribe and summarize phone calls or any media playing from my phone like UA-cam videos, etc. You can set the HiDock H1 to auto record all phone calls or you can disable that option too. If you wanted to transcribe specific audio like from a UA-cam video or live stream or something, you can manually start recordings like you would for a meeting. You don't need to plug in an ethernet cable for it to have internet connectivity once it is connected to your laptop, so it uses the internet connection from your laptop (whether your laptop is connected by WiFi or ethernet cable). If you want, you can plug in the ethernet cable into the HiDock H1, connect the HiDock H1 to your laptop via USB C cable, and your laptop will get internet connectivity via the HiDock H1 if you turn off your laptop WiFi. Hope that all makes sense, but TL;DR, no you don't need to plug in an ethernet cable if your laptop has internet already.

When you go to the hinotes.hidock.com/ website and open an item, at the top right, you can click the three horizontal dots and export them to edit it. You can also click into the text to make basic changes like text changes.

Nope, it didn't affect the performance at all, but there is a setting in the eufy app to play with if you have it installed close to a wall that can reflect the IR light. I never had to use that setting though: support.eufy.com/s/article/Position-Your-Doorbell-Properly-1617357859027

Agree. I think the high cost comes to the carbon fiber lid and the liquid cooling, but from what I've seen online, the cheaper 7i will perform just as good and is cheaper. And of course if you buy the desktop, it'll blow this out of the water for the same price or lower.

@@leonashley4390 Yea from what I understand, the 7i will be just as capable as the 9i. Do you know which software you will be using specifically? If you know, then you can check the minimum and recommended specs to run that software to ensure the laptop specs will keep up, but a 5i with an i9 and 4070 sounds great already. I think you should get a minimum of 32 GB ram though unless the software you want to run says you can get by with just 16 GB.

I don't believe there's any way to do that on any camera that I've used since the microphone is on the camera body and will pickup all movement-related sounds.

The camera will work without a thumb drive inserted, but nothing will be recorded. If you buy the monthly cloud plan from Blink, videos will be recorded even if the thumb drive isn't inserted. Let me know if that answers your question.

Dell just states standard HDR, but it's nothing standout, so if you're looking to consume lots of HDR content, I wouldn't recommend this monitor.

@@daniboariu Since this review over a year ago, it's been the only monitor I use for work, video editing, photoshop, youtube, etc. and I've had zero issues with it at all. No issues with flickering. I also downloaded the dell display manager and use that to control it vs. the buttons and it works flawlessly. For the price it's fantastic overall.

Hey there, I would contact Blink support at support.blinkforhome.com/en_US/contact-support because my recommendation would be to remove everything and add it back in the order that Blink recommends, but maybe they have a more effective solution that doesn't require removing and readding all the devices to the Blink App.

Hey @stellar-pk1iy, yep you can set a 4 digit pin instead of 6 if you like. After using many of these smart locks, if your budget allows it, I highly recommend getting a model with the fingerprint sensor, it is sooo much more convenient and I can't live without it now. I actually like to use the breathing mode or static mode when I'm working at night.

This one is only 8 GB storage. If you want to expand it, you have to buy the HomeBase 3 and insert additional storage in the HB3. I made a video recently comparing a few video doorbells recently if you're looking to buy one.

I haven't heard of that before. Do you have the sync module 2 unit with a USB drive attached to it and formatted already?

@@DemCrumblies I do, with a Samsung thumb drive in there. It detects the drive. But my UI doesn't look like yours at all. I tap on clips at the bottom and on the bottom it just says cloud storage. There is no home or local option. I was assuming they were having both on cloud and local at the same time since there's no way to switch.

@@Vespyr_ They said that if you have the cloud plan and sync module 2 with USB drive attached, it saves a backup of the cloud videos to the USB drive. Maybe you can screenshot your Blink app screen and email it to me at reviews@demcrumbliesreviews.com so I can take a look, but it is possible they removed that option since I made this video.

According to battery engineers, leaving a battery at a constant 100% leaves it in an excited state continuously, which will negatively impact battery longevity. However, if you upgrade your phone every year or two years the hit to overall battery longevity will not be noticed much. This is why most phones have a battery saving feature where it limits charge to 80%

@DemCrumblies developer options works perfect but it will not allow you to play Bluetooth media on more than one device at once.

@@andypandy1488 Oh got it. Yea, unless your phone has a specific feature to do it, like how Samsung has its Dual Audio feature, it won't be possible. This is more to let you pair more than one device at a time which some older phones had a limitation with, but all new phones will let you pair multiple devices, just not stream to them simultaneously. Not sure if any third party apps exist to so the same thing though.

Still have it up, zero issues with rain and we've had a couple of storms recently. I do have a bit of an overhang above it from my roof which protects it from light rain and drizzle, but it was also subject to high winds and rainstorms without issues.

This is what AOSU support said "Sorry, this camera supports 12V instead of 220V."

Can I view from another country?

Yep, as long as internet is working at your home, you can view from any country using WiFi or mobile data.

@@DemCrumblies do we need to purchase the hub as well ? Can view live on two devices at the same time? Blink had issues that the camera is busy

@@jacobclan3867 I don't think AOSU has a compatible hub for this camera yet and I think you can only view one live feed at a time, but best to contact AOSU support to be 100% certain: www.aosulife.com/pages/contact-us I know that Reolink cameras let you view the camera feed on more than one device at the same time though.

Which area do you have an issue with it? I haven't experienced any crashes with mine, but I do wish they had desktop software too so I could monitor it on my laptop without using their online web dashboard.
